ZEAL FOE BUSINESS,

CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 15. Zeal for business has cost F. Whitta, formerly a Christchurch lane, agent, £5 and sundry other disbursements in the way of costs, as a result of his entering the house of,J. Vincent a staff-sergeant major employed by t;he Defence Department. , . ' In the Magistratefs Court, before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M., Vincent to-day claimed £SO damages from Whitta for alleged trespass. Vincent,, in evidence, stated that he was often ordered away from home to attend camps, and during his absence his wife went to stay with her people in Fendnlton. As his house was in St. Albans, he and his wife deemed it wise to sell their home and buy another nearer the relatives’ home in Fendalton. To do this, the house was placed in the hands of various land agents in the city. Whitta had somehow or other got a key, and had taken* some people through the house while it was unoccupied. ’ • - The magistrate entered , judgment as indicated above. 1 / .
