Two miles and a half. 3 Kovno 1 2 Radio 2 1 Mahia 8 Scratched.—Siherfish. Won by 30 lengths; 20 lengths between second and third. Time, 0.312-5. HEXTON HANDICAP. One mile and three-quarters. 2 Cohesion 1 1 Pita 2 6 Chaplin 3 Scratched. —Westerner, Tino Maunga and Jubilee. Won by two lengths; one length' between second and third. Time, 2.10 4-5. HANDICAP TROT (Harness.) One mile and a quarter. 1 Ha.lmore 1 2 Gladys Cole 2 3 Makuri Bell 3 All started. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.58. HUNTERS’ BRACELET. One mile. 2 Radiate- 1 1 Manutai 2 8 Heatherteen 3 Scratched.—Mark Over, Radio, Chipohnse, and Loutumn. Won by five lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.49.

RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES

CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 7. The weather was .showery at Riccarton this morning, and the track dead after the overnight- rain. Centrepiece with a- mate over the last part, went six furlongs in 1.19 4-5. Omaha and Rory O’More did seven furlongs in 1.37 2-5, and The Harp seven in 1.31 1-5. Pas sin’ Through, Rlecl Q?nt and Birkenella covered a mile in 1.52 2-5.

Imitation and High Pitch went six furlongs in 1.20 4-5. Karaeo finished in front of Rangi Sarto and Mataipuke over four hurdles. Civility just beat Nippy over six furlongs in 1.20. Paddon and Le C’houcas taking 1.21. Sun Uip did six furlongs in 1.15 l-o. Rangitahi finished in front of Listening Post and Crown Coin after a good school over four hurdles.

Royal Diadem beat Olympic over seven furlongs in 1.36. Little River led aLndbird, over four hurdles - , the former being the better. Kendal beat Rlanui over a mile.
