Ah Auckland Press Association telegram .states that- H. K. Emanuel, solicitor, has been suspended from practice by Mr Justice Herdman, pending a decision, of the Appeal-Court on the application of the Auckland Laiv Society to have' him struck off the roll lor being unable to account for £4600. “The proper reply to this strong example of New Zealand’s patriotism is to buy New Zealand products whenever possible,” says the Daily Mail in a leader entitled: “Weil Done New Zealand,” appreciating the Auckland Power Board’s award of a contract to a British firm in the face of a lower German tender.

The disappearance of 400 empty sacks valued at £l3 6s 3d from the stables of the New Plymouth Borough Council between February 10 and May ]9, led to the appearance in the court, before IMr. 11. W.
