Received 1.40 p.m. to-day. NEW YORK, Aug. 5. A Philadelphia despatch says: Reminding the United States Government, “that President Calles had insulted, degraded and expelled American, citizens, men and women, under circumstances abhorrent to our conception of constitutional government,” the Knights of CJolumbus at a. convention adopted a resolution- protesting against the Mexican President’s religions policy. They said: “We warn our fellow American citizens that they cannot endure, at their very doorstep, the Russinnising of Mexico with impunity.”—A. and N.Z. Assn.
