HEAVY RAIN IN KING COENTRY.
TAUMA'R.TTNUT, Aug. A. The rainfall since Monday night has been very heavy and rivers have risen considerably, though not dangerously. There are numerous slips on the country roads. The King Country golf championships, which were fixed for Friday and Saturday, have been postponed, owing to the of the fairways being under water.
