A;t tho Dominion Farmers’ Union conference, a Marlborough remit for an iimport duty on chaff was lost.

It was agreed that the importation of any exotic plant, bird or animal oe prohibited except through the Agricultural Department and that the department shall .accept responsibility for any damage by such importation.

A remit was adopted that it be compulsory by law that all pedigree dairy stock be .examined for tubercular . disease, and when offered for sale to be accompanied by a tubercular certified e.
