As r retsult of a conference' between Italian sugar-cane growers 'and the local section of the Australian Workers’ Union, the latter guaranteed’ to make no distinction between Italian and British cane during the .season, thusending the trouble between workers in the cane crushing mills and Italian growers, caused by the refusal of the workers to crush cane grown bv the Italians.
