The 'reply pointed out that the date had been agreed upon at the annual meeting of delegates and had accordingly been set aside for the match. It ■would be very difficult to arrange another suitable match .in the event of Taranaki failing to play. It was decided to invito the Wednesday Committee to meet the T.R.U. Committee at Hawera on Wednesdav, July 7. In connection .with Eltham’s protest against Okaia.wa playing Wednesday players in the junior competition, the Okaiawa Club wrote expressing the opinion that they had been harshly treated, and that, a warning would have been sufficient, as other clubs were offending in. the same- way.
