CAUCUS AT WELLINGTON. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION .) WELLINGTON. June 18. At a caucus of the National Party, ,Mr Forbes was re-elected -leader, and Mr Ransom was e’ected whip. In an interview, Mr Forties said that it was decided that owing to the return of Mr Coates at the recent election by an overwhelming majority, it was more than ever necessary that members who were free and untrammelled should maintain a vigilant scrutiny of the Government's proposals and administration. so that there would be no abuse of the autocratic power placed in the hands of the Prime Minister.
