Two employees were convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s for working for the firm outside the registered factory. DIVORCE CASE AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, June 18. Major Charles Argle Eaton, a fanner of Masterton, was recently respondent in a divorce action brought by his wife on acocunt of misconduct with a girl named Morley, who was employed in the house. Owing to the proved unreliability of the girl’s evidence, the petition was withdrawn in the midst of the hearing. To-day Eaton again appeared before Mr Justice Macgre|i«3r a.s petitioner for the 'restitution of conjugal rights, owing to failure to arrive at a reconciliation with his wife. The petition was not opposed, and was granted. THE SCRUB-BULL PROBLEM. PALMERSTON N., June 18. At the instigation of the Friesian Association, a conference of breeders oi all dairy stock .was held this morning to consider the question. It was decided that the meeting was not in favour of the elimination of the>scrub bull by legislation. A committee was set up to report on the quetsion to a general meeting of breeders, to be held at the Royal Show. The committee is also to formulate a scheme for the federation of breed societies to work in the interests of the industry.
