GLAND GRAFTING
STRANGE EXPERIMENT.

The result of a strange experiment, in gland grafting is reported from' Roubaix. A year ago Ojliivier, a murderer, was guillotined. The thyroid gland was removed from the body after execution, and taken to a hosipital where a young girt ivas lying prepared for the operation. She was 'suffering from an affection of the thyroid, which, had left her mentally and physically deficient. Within three months of operation the girl had improved, and alter a year possesses all the powers of a normal girl of her age.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
