ABOLITION BILL
SPECIAL SESSION ARRANGED. SEARCH FOR MISSING MEMBER, BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received Jan. 23, 12.27 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 23. The State Premier, Mr Lang, announced that Parliament would be prorogued on Monday next, but a special session would be called within a fortnight when the Electoral Act Amendment Bill and the measure to abolish the Upper House will be reintroduced. The Government was greatly concerned over tlie absence of a member of the Legislative Council, and it is stated that it employed members of the police and detective forces in an endeavour to trace his whereabouts, but so far without result.
