Doiimer’s taxation proposals caused the closing of the Bourse to-day. In the first case the Bank Clerks Union brought business to a standstdl by calling out its members as a protest against, the increased taxation. Then the dealers, resenting the tax on payments, declined to operate, with the result that the doors were closed. —A. and N.Z. Assn.
