Write, for it to-day. Every pound invested in these debentures is as safe as a Government Bond. The rate of interest is £5 15s per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand within the Dominion. The debentures and interest are secured by a special rate of one farthing in the £ on the capital value of an area valued at £16,566,100, and lid in the £ on the capital value of an area valued at £7,167,696. This area comprises practically the whole of the Citv of Christchurch and a large portion of the suburbs. It might be mentioned as illustrative of the soundness of this security that twelve months ago the values were respectively £14,500,000 and £6,500,000, revealing a remarkable increase.
