WAR DEBT NEGOTIATIONS.
A NCI LO-ITALIAN AGREEMENT LIKELY, BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Jan. 21. The diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says the week-end may witness a complete agreement in connection with the funding of Italy’s war debt. It has already been agreed that the indebtedness shall be discharged by standard or uniform annuities within C2 years, and a reduction in accrued interest has been conceded. FRANCE WILL PAY' AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WASHINGTON, Jan. 20. M. Henri Berenger, the new French Ambassador, who presented his credentials to the President (Mr Calvin Coolidge) on Wednesday, told him that France was resolved to pay the debts contracted for her defence as promptly and as fully as present and future possibilities will allow.
