Eighty-five vessels, aggregating 2,193,000 tons gross, were launched in 1925, according to Lloyd’s annual survey. Of these 494 per cent., or 1,085,000 tons, were launched in the British Isles. Germany comes seeondi with 406,000 tons, Italy 142,000 tons, the United States 129,000 tons, while Japan is eighth with 56,000 tons. The decrease in the total output is 54,000 tons as compared with 1924. The decrease in the British Isles is 355,000 tons, thus the increase abroad is 301,000 tons. The tonnage launched in Britain for orders abroad was 178,000. —Reuter.
