Mr E. J. Mee, who was for many years auctioneer at Dunedin for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has been appointed chief auctioneer to the company’s Hawera branch, and has taken up his duties here. A, Press Association message from Sydney reports the death of Mr. Ross Gore, a prominent patriotic worker and son of the late Mr. Charles Gore, curator of the Colonial Museum at Wellington.
