FORMATION OF CABINET. A DIFFICULT TASK. STABLE MAJORITY LACKING. 8? CABLE —PEtrvS ASSOCiA I TON —COPYKIGIia (Received Nov. 25, 12.25 p.m.) PARIS, Nov. 24. One of M. Briand’s main objections to taking the Premiership is his desire to remain at the Foreign Office to finish the work begun at Locarno. The Radicals are agitating for , a Herriot Cabinet which will include Socialists, hut 30 Socialist deputies are opposed to participation .in the Government, hence the Left Cartel is threatened with a split. A solution of the crisis therefore is likely to be delayed, owing to the difficulty of finding a stable majority upon which either a Cartel Cabinet or a concentration Ministry could he based.—Reuter.
