FUNERAL SERVICE. FOR FRIDAY MORNING. THE FLYING OF FLAGS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. The Governor-Uenera 1 has been advised officially that tne funeral service lor her late Majesty Queen Alexandra will be held at 11.30 a.m. on Friday next at Westminster Abbey. His Excellency therefore suggests that any memorial services whicli it is proposed to hold in New Zealand should be heid at 11 o’clock on Friday morning next, as tne nearest appropriate time for coinciding with the Westminster Abbey service. The Governor-General has been informed further that His Majesty the King has directed that the flying of flags at half-mast on Government buildings in Great Britain should be continued until next Saturday. It would accordingly be appropriate if, similar procedure were observed in New Zealand as regards public buildings. His Majesty has commanded that the Court should wear mourning for three months from November 20, half mourning to be from January 20 to February 20. Special instructions were being issued for the defence forces for the observance of mourning.

HOUSE OF COMMONS PAYS TRIBUTE.

Baldwin, that an addres s be presented to His Majesty, expressing heartfelt sympathy with, him in the death of Queen Alexandra. In moving the motion, he recalled the love she inspired in all classes. Mr Ramsay MaoDona’d and Mr Lloyd George, on behalf of Labour and the Liberals, Mr T. P. O’Connor, on behalf of Ireland, associated themselves with the motion.—Reuter.
