At the Hawera Magistrate’s Coui-t to-day, the Tirimoana Dairy Co. brought an action against a former supplier, T. McWhirter, for failing to supply milk to the company’s factory. After occupying only a little of the time of the court the plaintiff company elected to he nonsuited. The Customs officials at "Wellington last night raided the Dutch steamer Hermes, which is unloading oil from Singapore, and captured 4-lbs of opium, of a value of about £IOO, packed in tubes instead of the usual tins. Nothing was found on the first search, but the second was more successful. Another seizure was made while the vessel was in Auckland. At the Hawera Magistrate’s Court to-day judgment for the. plaintiff, with costs against the defendant, was given in each of the following; undefended civil cases : B R. Long v. V. AT. Arthur Jackson, £3. Orders were made. ' n judgment summons cases as follow: L. Slinger v. Billy Morehu, £3 2s 6d, in default four days’ imprisonment; Ada Martin v.
