DOMAIN BOARD MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Patea Domain Board was held on Monday, Mr C. H. Fairweather piesiding. An offer of Messrs* Comisky to paint the memorial gates was accepted.—The Taranaki Rugby. Union wrote stating that the union proposed to pay the board 12J per cent ot the net gate proceeds from matches on the Domain. Gibbs asked the board to accept a cheque to purchase a cowing machine for the Nurses’ Home. The offer was accepted gratefully., , The question of appointing a night nurse was considered. It was stated that- there would, have to be an addition of two nurses to the staff if there were to be two permanent night nurses. It was decided to take no action. Z A party of about 40 members of the Patea Coursing Club journeyed to the power house recently, and as a result of the day’s outing brought home 10 hares alive and or.e which died, of fright.
