DAIRY PRODUCE. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 11, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: Butter. Market very quiet, and absence of demand. Present quotations for New Zealand salted are 186 e on account of reduction in Danish quotations, but sellers inclined to he optimistic. Official quotations are: New Zealand.—Finest salted: 186 s to 188 s per.cwt (Is 73-d to Is 8d per lb); exceptional, 190 s per cwt (Is Bfd per lb). Unsalted: 192 sto 194 s per cwt (Is BJd per lb); exceptional, 196 s per cwt (Is Bjjd per lb). Other qualities: 160 s to 182 s per cwt (Is 5d to Is 73d per lb). Australian.—Salted: 180 s to 184 s. per cwt; exceptional, 186 s per cwt. Other qualities: 174 sto 176 s per cwt. Unsalted: 184 s to 188 s per cwt; exceptional, 192 s per cwt. Other qualities: 174 s to 182 s per cwt. Argentine.—lßos to 184 s per cwt; exceptional, 186 s per cwt. Other qualities: 170 s to 176 s per cwt. Irish.—Salted: 186 s to 188 s per cwt. Siberian. —168 s to 172 s per cwt. Danish.—l9os to 192 s per cwt. Cheese. Market quieter and less demand, partly owing to unsettled weather. Present quotations are: English.—Finest farmers’, firm: 116 s to 1.20 s per cwt. Canadian. —Coloured and white: 104 s to 105 s per cwt. New Zealand. —Coloured: 105 s to 106 s per cwt (lid to per lb); exceptional, 107 s per cwt (Hid per lb). White : 106 s. to 107 s per cwt (lid to 11-fd per lb); exceptional, 108 s per cwt (ll£d per lb). Australian.—Coloured : 102s> to 104 s per cwt. White: 104 s .per cwt. Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Argyllshire and Athenic.
