AIEETING OF STRATFORD - COAIMITTEE. At the regular monthly meeting of the executive committee of the. Stratford Demonstration Farm Society the matter of branding cows was fully discussed, and it was resolved that purchase of a set of fire brands he authorised. The manager’s report for the period from June 10 to- July 1 was read, and adopted. It stated that the cows were dried off during June. The quantity of milk for the month was 51671 b; the test for the first period being 5.1, ,but that for the second period was ■ not available. It was resolved that the annual general meeting of members hfe held oil Saturday, August 1. It was resolved that the executive committee record: its appreciation of the excellent and loyal services rendered by Mr. E. Hartwig as farm manager during the past five years. Members present added their quota of appreciation. Tlie appointment of a new manager was left to a committee consisting of Messrs Deem, AVere, and Marfell.
