WEDDING.
DEANE',—G AY YN. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at tne Adventist uhuich, Hawera, oil June 30, the couple whose union was solemnised being Air. T. J. Deane, of Haweru, to Aliss Bertha. E. Gwyn, of Kaponga. 'Hie ceremony wa.s performed :by Piaster A. R. Anderson, of AVanganui. Allis. A. R. Anderson presided at the organ. The church, was tastefully decorated for the occasion, by ill© many friends of the ,bride and bridegroom.. A beautiful green arch was erected across the church, from which hung 'a white it ora I bell.
The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of white crepe-de-chi ire beautifully hand-embroidered. She wore a beautiful embroidered veil, held in place bv a coronet of .silver and (pearls, with touches of orange blossoms,• and carnied a shower bouquet, composed of wildte roses, chrysanthemums, maidenhair fern, hot-house blooms, anti autumn leaves. The two bridesmaids, Miss. Hedwrig Faulkner and Miss Jewel Faulkner, both of Dunedin, wore pretty friocks of sea-green and apricot brocaded crepes de-ehme, with, head-bands of silver leaves, and carried bouquets of chrysanthemums, jonquil and autumn leaves.
lii 'attendance on the .bridegroom' was Mr. WiMiami Bray, of Ivakaraniea (late of Cornwall, England). The bridegroom’s presents to the bridesmaids were .strings of pearls. A reception wa«s afterwards held at the Savoy Tea Rooms, where about SO guests were present and a very happy time was spent. Later Mr. and Mrs. Deane left by motor on their wedding tour, the bride travelling in. a.‘ smart na.vy blue sedge three-piece cois-tinne trimmed with black fur. and black panne velvet toque to match.
