KIDNAPPING PLOT FOILED.
M HYLTON AIR E’S WIFE. SAN FRANCISCO, Juno 27. An unsuccessful plot to kidnap the wife of Mr D, C. duckling, the copper millionaire, resulted in the arrest ot Bliss Baker, a senior college student and writer on criminology, who is alleged to have confessed, The police are pursuing a ctudent accomplice. The accomplice telephoned to Mrs •Tackling and informed her that a friend had been injured in an automobile accident on a lonely road. Simultaneously a telephone message wes sent to .Tacking at his office telling him that his wife had been kidnapped, and unless she was ransomed immediately she would he given disease germs. The millionaire communicated with the police, who delivered the money and trapped Baker before Mrs .Tackling reached the scene of the false accident.
