Two New Zealanders, Messrs Wallie and Fraser, have delivered an .opinion after investigating the Canadian wood pulping industry, that New Zealand has many advantages in that sphere ot trade, especially in view of its planted areas, as compared with Canada s primeval forests, in. which the d£D,(l tree presents a constant fire menace'that does not exist in New Zealand tended areas As the New Zealand trees grow eight inches in ten years, and for pulping the four inch trees are the best, in New Zealand should he in full swing in a few years. —A. and N.Z.
