OPER A HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. “THE SPEED DEMON.” To-night the management of the Opera House submit to their patrons ■one of the fastest six reels of film ever put on the screen. From the beginning, when it breaks out in a rash of excitement ajid the hot coals of suspense and passion kindle its growing fever, there is no let-up in its action until the hero, exhausted to the point of collapse, finds the would-be thief of his father’s fortune, squares accounts with him, and is at last forced to seek rest and quiet at the hands of Father Time, who, for the preceding six days, lie had defied in his mad rush across the Continent. He makes a crosscountry dash in his auto from San Francisco to New York in six days to save his father from financial ruin. Also a great comedy, “Snooky’s Covered Wagon,” is on the bill. KA PONG A PICTURES. CHARLES CHAPLIN PRODUCTION. “The Woman of Paris,” showing tomorrow night, was produced by Charles. Chaplin from a story of his own writing. It is a story of simple human frailties told in a manner to hold the interest and quicken the heart; while to relieve the more -serious story there is comedy of the usual Chaplin variety.
