A neighbouring grocery stoi'e was entered by the back door being forced, out nothing was taken, the intruder probably being disturbed by the nightwatchman. AIAX GORED BY A BULLOCK. GISBORNE, May 11. An elder!v native named Rawiri Teeke,' aged'76, died .from injuries sustained through being gored by a bul'ock. A mob of cattle was being driven along the road when a bullock, which was lagging behind, charged Teeke and inflicted severe injuries to the chest. INJURIES ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. AVELLINGTON, Aiay 11. Three players were injured while at football on Saturday. One soccer player broke a small bone in his leg, and another received a bad injury to his knee. A Rugby player fractured Ins right leg. THROUGH BOOKING. AVELLINGTON, Mav 11.
