NOT SETTLED YET
DEMON ST RATION AT THE THAMES
INTIMIDATION ALLEGED
CBY TELEGRAPH PREBS ASSOCIATION THAMES, May 12.
The fishing trouble is not yet settled. Information received to-day says that the Auckland merchants refuse to pay the higher price demanded, thus coming into line with the Thames companies ; they also stated that plenty of fish was available at Auckland.
Two tons of fish were landed here last night, and caused a considerable demonstration at the wharf, the police having to be called in to prevent violence.
It is alleged that intimidation is being used to prevent certain men going fishing.'
