MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Taranaki Football Association executive was held at Stratford on Friday, Bth inst., the following being present: Messrs. W. Adams (chairman), J. Campbell, J. Renwick, H. A. Morgan, G.'Freakley, B. Muggeridge, W. Brown, —Hartley, and the secretary (H. Kendall), The business of the evening was of a lengthy nature, and several very important rulings were decided upon. Air. J. Campbell (Hawera) reported, having attended the council meeting of the N.Z.F.A. in Wellington on May 1. and lie commented at length on general matters concerning the management ol that central body. His report was a very interesting one indeed, and the progress that the “soccer” code has made in New Zealand during the past year has been most encouraging. General regret was expressed that the English team (now touring Australia) would most likely not include New Zealand in it s tour—for this team was undoubtedly a very fine one, and would give a splendid exhibition and show the public how association football should be played. However, there was just a possibility that they might come to New Zealand yet, and if they did Taranaki could be almost certain of an opportunity to try conclusions with them. A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to* Air. Camobell for his efforts on behalf of the T.F.A. in Wellington—also the chairman. (Mr, Adams) wished him bon voyage on the eve of his trip abroad.

It was announced that Air. AY. Adams (Hawera) had been elected a vice-president of the N.Z.F.A. in recognition of his untiring efforts and services to “soccer” in Taranaki for many years past. Delegates to N.Z.F.A.—Air. Frank Campbell (Wellington) was elected to that position for Taranaki. Finance Committee. —Alessrs. Adams, Kendall, Morgan and Rennick. Chinese Citizens’ Cup Committee. — Same as Finance Committee —to draw iqi rides for the “Chinese Cup.” It was reported that on account of the “mixed” half-holidays between New Plymouth, Stratford and Elthain. no settled fixtures could lie drawn tip for North Taranaki, blit the following teams would compete in the Julian Cup in South Taranaki: Kaponga, Hawera, Alanaia, Auroa A, and Auroa B. Considerable discussion took place on the subject of transferrins players from A to B teams and this was amicably settled to the satisfaction of the various clubs. Many matters of importance were discussed, and it was in the “wee sina’ ’oors” that the meeting dispersed with the vote of thanks to the chairman.
