New Zealand choicest salted is_ quoted at l-70s. to 1725; exceptionally 1745; unsalted, 173 s to 1765; Australian, 160 s to 1.625; unsalted, 162 s to 1665. The cheese market is dull. New Zealand coloured is quoted at Dos. white 965, and Australian coloured 925.

APRIL TOTALS. The figures of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture show that the salted butter graded for April was 3944 tons, and the unsalted 436 tons, a total of 4380 tons, compared with 4526 tons salted and 136 tons unsalted, a total of 4662 tons for April of last year, a decrease of 6.0 per cent. For the" nine months ended April, 1925. the respective quantities were 62,868 tons and 4442 tons, a total of 67,310 tons, compared with 53,111 tons and 3315 tons' a total of 56,426 tons for the corresponding period of the preceding season, an increase of 19.2 per cent. The cheese graded for April comprised: White 4183 tons, coloured 2033 tons, a total of 6216 tons, compared with 3485 tons white and 2010 tons coloured, a total of 5945 for April, .1.924, on increasa of 13.1 per cent. The ■quantities for the nine months ending April were: White 42,438 tons, coloured 22,103 tons, a total of 64,541, compared with' 40,949 tons white and 24.954 tons coloured, a total of 65,903 tons, for the corresponding period of the preceding season, a decrease of 2.0 per cent. Converting those figures into hutterfat equivalent, there is an increase of 1.1.8 per cent in butter-fat production for the nine months, as compared with the corresponding period of the 1923-24 season.Stocks held in the various grading ports at April 30 were: Butter -5248 tons, cheese 5139 tons.
