ONE PASSENGER DEAD

(by telegraph—PßESS ASSOCIATION. WAIPAWA, May 9. Whilst returning home from the races at Hastings last evening, a car containing Patrick McArtin, of Taihape, John McArtin and Miss Lindsay ■> ran into a bank near Pukehon anil capsized. Patrick McArtin was dead when he was extricated from " the wreckage. Miss Lindsay sustained a broken leg.
