At the inquest on Vlachos, who was last month found dead with horrible wounds on the body, the coroner returned a. verdict that Vlachos died from injuries caused by Benetos and Tsontos, and that they murdered Vlachos. The hotels, tea-rooms and restaurants are nearly all closed as a result of the employees’ stop-work meetings. Strikers are picketing the premises to prevent the miblic from entering. A few demonstrations have occurred. Tlie Acting-President of the Arbitration Court has called a compulsory conference of the parties concerned.
