LORD MILNER PROPOSED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. (Received Mav 7, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 6. A meeting of members of the Convocation last evening unanimously adopted Lord Milner as the candidate for the chancellorship of Oxford University. It was stated, that Lord Milner’s illness a few clays ago appeared likely to prevent his candidature, but the outlook for his health has since been most optimistic.—Reuter.
