Despite- the inclement weather a large audience attended the conceit, "iven. by the Hawera Municipal Band in King Edward Park on Sunday afternoon. A programme of great merit was given by the band, and general! satisfaction was evident by the frequent .applause which greeted eac-h item. Special mention, should be made of the Verdi selection and hymns,, which were given with excellent interpretations.
