Representatives of the Soviet and the Lena Goldfields Company have signed a draft agreement for concessionary exploration by a company, to be cailed the Lena Gold Enterprise, over a million and a half acres of gold, silver, copper and lead bearing areas in the Lena, Altai, and Sissersk regions of Siberia. It is understood that important New York banking and mining interests have considerable participation- in the operations of the company, which embraces the interests of a number ol companies which, before the war, operated in the mines covered by the present concession. Six per cent, of the total production is payable to the Soviet. The company’s technical staff will he largely Anglo-Americans. — Reuter.
