During a May Day demonstration in Osaka, thirty thousand workers, ineluding Koreans, paraded the streets. They were under the close vigilance of the police, but the demonstration terminated without a serious clash.— Renter. NEW YORK, May 1. The police have guarded all public buildings and homes of noted men and public officials. —Reuter. (An earlier message stated that ten Communist meetings were broken up by the police, who drove the members into the street and confiscated May Day literature.) HAVANA’S CELEBRATION. (Received Mav 2, 10.30 a.m.) HAVANA, May 1. Drivers of street cars, ’busses and taxi cabs remained way from their posts on May Day. Workers held a meeting and a parade. —Reuter.
