MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
NOMINATIONS IN HA WET! A. SOME NEW NAMES. The municipal elections will be held to-morrow week, but so far only five citizens, have been nominated for seats on the FTcUvera Borough Council. HO.WI ever, a good many more names will he handed in to the town clerk before nominations close at noon 'to-morrow. Those already nominated are Messrs. H. B. Burdekin, E. Morrissey, W. G. Strange, H. W. Lester, and W. C. Gilbert, and of these only the first two mentioned are members of the present council. Mr. E. A. Pacey has been nominated to represent the borough on the Patea Harob'itr Board and Mr. F. Gil landers has been similarly nominated for a seat on the Hawera Hospital Board. Up to the present. Mr. J. Q. Osborne is the only citizen nominated for the Mayoralty. y NEW PLYMOUTH NOMINATIONS. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 21. For the Ma.yora.lty. two nominations. Mr. Willson, the- retirinicr Mayor, and Frank Amoore, a. councillor, were received. For the Borough Council there are eleven candidates, including four Labour, for eight seats.
