OPERA HOUSE T.O-NTGHT. THE GREAT DIAMOND MYSTERY. Tn this picture dainty little Shirley 'has a. role which fits her very nicely indeed. As the author of a murder mystery novel called “The Phantom Jury,” she advances a theory that conscience drives a murderer back to the place where lie committed his crime, and for that reason it should be easy tn catch and arrest a killer. Little does she suspect that p tragic situation much like the one described in her book is about, to come into her life, but it does, and she finds herself in the role of a detective, trying to free her 'fiance from tli e death-house at Sing-Sing, where he is awaiting execution for the murder of the diamond merchant. “The Great Diamond Mystery” makes a fine evening’s entertainment. A tworeel Van Bibber comedy entitled “The Eight,” a scenic entitled “Universities of the World,” and the latest Fox News complete a first-class programme? which receives its final screening tonight..
