SAID LIFE WAS A MISERY

The body of Frederick Hamilton was found in the harbour fully dressed. There were no marks of violence. He was a single man, aged 29,. and was admitted to Auckland Hospital on February 8 suffering from blood poisoning. He disappeared from the institution on Thursday, and left a letter saying that his life was a misery and he intended to commit suicide. CHRISTCHURCH ITEMS.
CHRISTCHURCH, March 16
Labour has now decided to nominate a candidate for the Mayoralty of Christchurch. A fire on the Cashmere Hills yesterday, started apparently by picnickers, swept an area of fifty acres, damaging thirty thousand young pine trees and blackwoods owned by the City Council.
