Charlotte Leonard (40) was charged in the Police Court with the' theft of gopds valued at £46 12s 9d from sixteen different shops.,,Slie. Yvas caught in the act at Rendeil’s "drapery shop arid pleaded guilty. She was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment on one chhrge, and on another was placed on probation for two years. Accused had £IOO in the bank, and her husband had more than £SOO in cash.' The husband was known as a man of good character.
