I would like to thank Mr Jones, proprietor of the Egmont Hotel, whose guest I have bean, and who has been most kind and considerate. A very distinguished scientist on one occasion blew in on some friends, and when he left they regretted the bird who sang such melodies of life had flown. I am not yet in the ranks of those who attain to such tilings, but to all [ have mentioned, and to hundreds of others who cheered the little day individually—‘Here's ma’ ban’ mu' trusty freens.
