SHOT DEAD.
TWO XF.W ZEALAND VICTIMS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, July 31. A well-dressed man, aged 00, was found shot dead in Friar’s Lane, Richmond, with a revolver nearby. The man had been identified as A. F. Shearman,, a. horseshoe manufacturer, of New Zealand. Papers show that lie wa.s once well-to-do, hut had sold land and had only eleven pence in his pocket when lie died. SUVA, Aug. 1. Christopher Byers Scaly, public works surveyor in charge of the Main Trunk Road eight miles from Suva, was found shot dead, and £4OO, which was in his hag, was missing. His motor-bicycle was not injured. Sealy came from the North Island.
