ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Kaponga Jersey Club, the chairman intimated that it had been advisable to increase the subsea iption fee, as the expenses Mere proving heavier than was at first anticipated. To carry on successfully witli the 10s fee a very big increase -would have to be shown in membership, but as membership was confined to local Jersey bleeders, the ecessary increase could not be anticipated.— it Mas decided that the subscription be one guinea. A special donation of £-5 os mki.s received from a member Mho desired to •remain anonymous. -Messrs Malone, Priest and Hollard were delegated to confer with the Stratford Club with reference to fixing the ; date ol the annual bull fair. It "’as decided that Messrs .Newton King, hid., be appointed as auctioneers at the annual sale. The arrangements of details Mas left to the executive. The chairman referred to the advisability ol arranging for a lecture by one of the experts in matters relating Lo cal.iic. Such a lecture should be highly appreciated by dairymen in the district.—-The suggestion met with the hill approval of the meeting, it being decided to approach Mr (!. lord (stock inspector). and leqm'sl him to give an address under the auspices of the club at an earlv date.

On behalf of Ihe club, Air Malone extended enngratnlal ions to Mr K. loyce. M'hose entry. Zola of Rosy Crock, had been au’arded the gold medal for the junior ihree-vear-old com- under the C.0.1C Lest. This comhad produced 741 Ills of butter ,ai..- being 601 bs in excess of the previous winner’s production. He also congratulated Air ff. Alellow. whose curry. Primrose Afaiden. had secured the silver medal for second place in the junior four-year-old class. The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the bon. secretary (Mr AT. W. Priest), the retiring president (Mr A. H. Guy), and the auditor (Air H. R. Henderson). Much eulogistic comment was passed concerning the -enthusiasm displayed by the'secretary, and the ability with which, lie had discharged his duties, laudatory reference being also made to the valued services rendered the club by the ex-president.
