TOKAORA’S BEGISTRATTONS
Oii r Tokaora correspondent sends the following record of the rainfall for July, the readings being up to 9 a.m. to-day. Rain iell on 14 days, the heaviest fall being on July 31, when there was a precipitation of ].<)6 inches, making the total tor the month 5.20 inches. The records tor July in each of the vear’s mentioned were as icllow :—1923'. 2.22 inches on 14 (lavs; 1922 2.92 in on nine da vs; 1921 4E7in. on 20 days; 1920. 4.95iu. on nine (lavs; 1919. 3.57 in on. 20 days; 1918. 3.60iu. on 24 days; while in 1917 there was a. record total of 6.46 in. on 26 days. Our correspondent reports that the barometer fell 47 points in the 24 hours ending at 9 o cloc-k this morning, and more rain is probable. H A AVER A REG ISTR ATTON S.
The total rainfall registered at the Hawera Post Office during the past month totalled 6.14 inenes. There were 16 days on which rai>» fell, and the maximum fall was on July 31, when 1.31 inches fell.
