HAW ERA SHOW.
Horses are always a strong feature of the Egmont Show, and the quality is of the very best. The Association give a championship of £7 7s for the champion draught entire, and this class alone should be an especial feature at thecoming show. Hunters* competitions are worthy of the attention of all sportsmen, On the first day there are the Maiden Hunters' competition, a pony leaping competition for i$ l /2 and one for 14% hands, the open Hunting Competition for best hunter carrying not less than 12 stone. In addition a driving competition is also held. On the second day there are the Wire Jumping Competition, the leaping Competition for best jumper in steeplechase style, open to all, a Ladies' Riding Competition, a Dual Jumping Competition (lady and gentleman), a High Jumping Competition. The sum of £94 alone is offered solely for Hunters'and Leaping Competitions." 1 ' The show is on the 24th and 25th inst. Send to the Secretary at Hawera for a schedule.
