SYDNEY SHOW.

The total attendance at the Show was 246,000. The takings were £10,626 as against £8398 last year. In the sawing contest, Higgins and Harrington, of Hornsby, cut a 15m log in 20 4-ssec, knocking 3 l-ssec off the world's record.
STOCK SALES. (Received 15, 940 a.m.) Sydney, April 15
At the stock sales at the Royal Show, consignments of Lincoln and Leicester sheep, on behalf of Mr Reid, Ellerslie, ranged from one to three guineas. A Romney ram realised 7k guineas. Dowthwaite's Leicesters ranged from 2 to 3% guineas, and O'Rourke's I* guineas. A Hereford bullock, belonging to Moore, Bushby Park, which took championship for heaviest beast at the Show, brought £2B. A consignment of horses from Hayward and Company, Christchurch, realised satisfactory prices.
