HERE AS (he office of Councillor tor the Heretaunga Riding has become vacant owing to the inclusion in the said Riding of an adjoining area, to wit a portion of the Borough of Hastings, and it has become necessary to hold a fresh election for the purpose of filling the said office. NOW I HEREBY GIVE PUBLIC NOTICE that an Election of One Councillor for the Heretaunga Riding of the Counts' of Hawke's Bay will be held (if necessary) on FRIDAY, the 23rd day of April, 1909. And I hereby appoint the Office of the Hawke's Bay County Council, " Herald" Buildings, Tennyson street, Napier, as the place and FRIDAY, the 16th day of April, 1909, as the day for the Nomination of Candidates.
