Hastings Rugby Sub-Union. The usual weekly meeting of the above Sub-union was held last night. Mr G. Roach presiding. CORRESPONDENCE. A letter was received from the Hawke's Bay Rugby Uniou re the Challenge Shield competitions. It was decided to send a reply that the Sub-union cannot take any further steps until they communicate with other sub-unions, and suggest that a conference between the subunions and the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union takes place to endeavour to place the conditions on a fairer footing. A letter was received from the Paki Paki Club re Cup fixtures. -Resolved that a copy of the letter L>e sent to the' Hawke's Bay Rugby Union. CUP FOR CHAMPION TEAMS. Mr \V. Lane, who was present, agreed to the conditions upon which the cup presented by him is to be competed for. The competitions will be held between the champion teams of sub-unions. The matches to be played on the ground of holders of the cup. Half of the gate money to be de-oted to the hospital tunds in the district where the matches are played. Before retiring, Mr Lane was thanked for his donation. The meeting then terminated THE JUNIOR REPS. it was decided to send the junior rep-, to play Wuipawa Juniors next Saturday, Mr Pegler to be asked to lake charge of the team. The following players will represent the junior rep team Full-back Wilkins. Three-quarters - - Sullivan, Liley, Boyd. Half -T. O. Stevens. Wing Forwards--Tarrant, Fergus- • son. : Forwards Tleeney, Struthers, G. Butcher, Yaniley, Carr, McDonald, Cooper. Emergencies - Backs McLennan, Goldfinch, Aubrey. Forwards Maggin, Wilson. All Blacks in Australia. NEW ZEALAND TEAM. Brisbane. July 23. The following team will represent New Zealand against Queensland tomorrow : Back —Spencer. Three-quarters - Fryer, Mitchinson and Booth. Five-eighths Wallace and Eckhold. Half—Roberts. Forwards -Hogan (wir.g), Casey, Hughes, Cunningham, Nicholson, Francis, O'Sullivan and Seeling. The New Zealand team were officially welcomed and entertained at a smoke concert to-night. The Attor-ney-General presided.
