Received November 5, 8. of} a.m. London, November 1 Lieutenant Peary id returning home from iiis Arctic expedition. He reached 87deg Grniu north on July 16th, beating the Duke of Abruzzi'ii record. Lieutenant Peary, who wintered at North Grant Island, sledged northwards in February beyond 6-5 de^rrt.-. A gale raged for six days, destroying the caches and cutting off communication with the supporting columns, but, nevertheless the party continued. While returning they ate eight dogj.
